S. Rao)” (1914–2003) was an Indian scientist and founder of (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronics_Corporation_of_India_Limited) (ECIL), (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyderabad,_India), (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telangana), India. Dr.Rao represented India at many international conferences on scientific development including UN conferences on peaceful uses of atomic energy. He also served on the editorial and advisory boards of many scientific journals including many international journals of repute. Considering his services and contributions to the nation in the area of engineering sciences it was proposed to organize a lecture in his memory every year, during the month of September or October. This is the first flagship event of IES Chapter. “The vision of the initiation of this lecture is to advance global prosperity by fostering technological innovation, enabling members’ careers and promoting community worldwide”. “The mission of this lecture is to promote the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing and applying knowledge about electronic and information technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession”.
