Become an IEEE WIE Member – How to Join

Complement your IEEE membership by joining WIE. Be part of a global network of IEEE members who have an interest in promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in STEM.

IEEE WIE membership is available to all IEEE members. WIE membership dues are US$25 annually for IEEE Members (higher grade and above). WIE membership is free for Students, Graduate Student Members, and Life Members. Select “IEEE Women in Engineering Membership” under “Special Interest Groups” when you join or renew online.

The IEEE Puerto Rico & Caribbean section developed a short video to show how to “Become a member of WIE” in English and Spanish.

IEEE WIE Electronic Membership

Depending on the country/region in which you live, you may be eligible to select an electronic membership option which lowers the cost of IEEE and WIE membership dues. Electronic membership means you will not receive a printed membership card or printed copies of publications.

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Newsletter

IEEE WIE members receive the monthly WIE Exchange newsletter which contains reports on WIE and Affinity Group activities, IEEE news, and other relevant WIE information. The newsletter also features opportunities to network, volunteer, and participate in local and global WIE activities.
