The purpose of this fund is to provide support for IEEE WIE outreach and educational activities to promote and advance youth and women in engineering and science.

The IEEE Frances B. Hugle Engineering Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Frances B. Hugle her many significant engineering accomplishments, and help provide the resources for female engineers to follow in her footsteps.  Annually, the scholarship is presented to a female student who has completed two years  of undergraduate study in an engineering curriculum at an accredited university or college within the United States.
