WIE Regional & Society Event Partnership Program

IEEE Women in Engineering has introduced a program supporting IEEE-sponsored conferences and activities that highlight WIE participation across Regions and Societies. The program provides dedicated funding for events that demonstrate clear impact, strengthen collaboration with local WIE Affinity Groups, and advance WIE visibility within the broader IEEE community.

This form is intended for IEEE Regions and Societies seeking funding support for IEEE events and conferences. It serves as a starting point for planning and requesting financial assistance for larger-scale initiatives.

Who Should Apply

Organizers of IEEE-sponsored events seeking support to incorporate WIE presence, programming, or volunteer engagement.

Eligibility

To be considered for support, events must meet the following criteria:

  • IEEE-sponsored conference, workshop, or activity
  • Events must be at least 60 days in the future from the date of submission.
  • Clear alignment with WIE mission and objectives
  • Documented outreach to the local WIE Affinity Group in the host Section
  • If no active Affinity Group exists, organizers must identify local WIE members or Society members who are also WIE members
  • Defined participant impact and visibility outcomes
  • Budget justification consistent with program guidelines

Guidelines

• An activity report must be submitted within 30 days following the conclusion of the event.
• By submitting your photos to us, you hereby grant us a worldwide license to use, reproduce, and distribute the photos on our social media platforms and website.

The Special Funding Form remains available for Affinity Group events. This program and form are specifically intended for Region and Society-level events only.
