Dear IEEE WIE Members,
I am honored to serve as your Chair in 2025 and am excited to lead IEEE WIE as we continue to advance our mission: to promote, advance, and empower women in the workplace and community.
Together, we will create new opportunities for collaboration, growth, and impact.
First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Celia Shahnaz, IEEE WIE Past Chair, for her outstanding leadership and dedication over the past two years. Celia’s vision and hard work have elevated WIE’s global presence, strengthened key programs, and inspired countless members worldwide. We are deeply grateful for her commitment to empowering women in STEM and fostering an inclusive community.
Over the past year, IEEE WIE has made great strides in fostering leadership, professional development, and diversity. Our successful International Leadership Summits (ILS) and regional initiatives brought together professionals, students, and allies to share ideas, build networks, and inspire change.
Looking forward, I am thrilled to announce the launch of the IEEE WIE Ambassador Program in 2025. This new initiative will empower dedicated members to serve as ambassadors in their regions, championing WIE’s mission and driving local engagement. Ambassadors will:
· Lead grassroots efforts to promote WIE activities and initiatives.
· Organize local events, workshops, and outreach programs to connect and inspire communities.
· Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion while amplifying WIE’s global impact.
The Ambassador Program is a significant step toward creating stronger connections, expanding our reach, and fostering leadership opportunities for our members. I invite you to consider applying to become an ambassador and help us shape a more inclusive future.
In addition to the Ambassador Program, 2025 will feature:
· International Leadership Conference (ILC 2025): Mark your calendars for May 15-16, 2025, in San Jose, California. This flagship event will bring together global leaders, innovators, and professionals for an inspiring two days of networking, learning, and leadership development.
· International Leadership Summits (ILS): Regional leadership programs designed to build networks and drive innovation across the globe.
· Collaborative Programs: Enhanced partnerships with Young Professionals, Student Branches, and industry to build pathways for sustainable growth.
· Professional Development: Tailored workshops and programs to support members’ career advancement and leadership journeys.
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to all our volunteers, ambassadors, and members for their dedication and hard work. Your contributions are what make IEEE WIE a dynamic and impactful community.
I encourage each of you to:
· Engage with our programs and consider becoming part of the WIE Ambassador Program.
· Participate in flagship events like ILC 2025 and regional ILS to connect, learn, and inspire.
· Nominate deserving colleagues for awards and encourage others to join our growing network.
As we embark on this exciting year, I am confident that initiatives like the WIE Ambassador Program and events such as ILC 2025 will empower us to achieve even greater heights. Together, we will inspire the next generation, amplify our collective voice, and create lasting change.
