Jennifer Ng Ain Kin started her career in Ottawa (Canada) as a software engineer writing embedded diagnostic code for submarines, light armored vehicles, fighting jets and tanks. Through her career, she held increasingly significant positions in software engineering, software release quality, quality management and now regulatory affairs for medical devices.

She moved to the United States to gain more experience and eventually made a career change from software engineering design to Medical Devices. After a decade, she returned back to Ottawa and joined Abbott Point of Care (A division of Abbott Laboratories) as a Quality Project Manager in Regulatory Affairs. Recently she transferred to the Abbott Vascular division focusing on worldwide Regulatory Affairs Advertising and Promotion of cardiovascular medical devices.

Jennifer is a Senior Member of the IEEE and has been a member for over 25 years while serving as a volunteer for more than a decade. She was Vice-Chair of the New Hampshire Section and founded the IEEE Women In Engineering NH Chapter. She also spearheaded the IEEE Teacher-In-Service-Program in the Ottawa Section and was an IEEE WIE Ottawa Past Chair. For her leadership and dedication with IEEE WIE Ottawa and mentoring of student branches, she was winner of the prestigious IT Computer World Canada CATA WIT Mentor of the Year award in 2010. She is currently on her third-year term as an IEEE WIE Committee member.

Jennifer obtained her Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Montréal, Canada and she also holds a Management Certificate from the Boston University Corporate Center.
