Understand the fundamentals of fibre technology ii. Understand the basics of optical fibre cable installation iii. Effectively prepare the cables for splicing iv. Effectively splice fibers with minimal losses v. Properly arrange the spliced fibers in the splice trays vi. Properly carry out joint closure vii. Use an OTDR to measure the splice losses viii.
