P O S T P O N E D: CTS “How to Leverage the Full Potential of your Teams and Out-Innovate the Competition,” PLUS: High School Mentoring Project

Is your team struggling to meet scheduled milestones? Trying to deliver innovative products? Or dealing with difficult people? If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, you should take advantage of our talk by Distinguished Lecturer Leslie Martinich. Companies and organizations around the world have asked her to work with them to deliver innovations, and she will be giving a public — and FREE —- talk here in Austin on July 18. Join us for this fast-paced talk, and learn the behaviors that will lead to greater success in delivering innovative products. PLUS: We take on a project of mentoring young women, high school juniors, interested in careers in engineering and technology. Would you like to participate? The young women will be documenting their projects with videos and an article written for publication. How can you help: 1. The girls will be creating both short and longer videos to document the project. Your video creation and editing experience will be very helpful! 2. The girls will be writing a short article to publish about their experience. Your writing and editing skills for publication will be useful! 3. The girls are primarily interested in A. biomedical engineering B. Using a bacterium, Ideonella sakaiensis, to breakdown and recycle PET plastics in the ocean Your knowledge of creating a proof-of-concept project will be very useful. The girls will take part in the production of a lecture on “Leveraging the Full Potential of Your Team” to be delivered on 18 July. We’ll meet at the Spicewood Springs Branch Library.
