Connected and Automated Vehicles Opportunities & Challenges (Talk, Tour and Network)

August 25 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The OpenCAV group is developing a novel, modular, open-architecture, open-interface and open-source-software based research instrument comprised of (a) a simulation engine capable of complete algorithmic development and (b) physical hardware-in-the-loop validation on a fleet of small-scale fully autonomous vehicles and (c) validation capability on a full-scale autonomous vehicle housed at the International Center for Automotive Research. These vehicle test beds are made accessible to Clemson researchers and the broader academic research community. Dr. Venkat Krovi invites you to join faculty and students from AUE to learn about recent developments, projects and opportunities that have arisen in the past few years and to get a first look at our state-of-the art connected and automated vehicle. Co-sponsored by: CU-ICAR Agenda: Greetings: 6:00 – 6:30 pm, CGEC Auditorium Presentations: 6:30 – 7:15 pm, CGEC Auditorium, CU-ICAR, Greenville Tour & Networking: 7:15 – 8:00 pm, Atrium outside CGEC 5 Research Dr, Greenville, South Carolina, United States, 29607
