On March 08 will be held at the Federal University of Paraíba, João Pessoa, the second edition of the WieDay UFPB, we want to celebrate WieDay (an event to celebrate the importance of having a WIE in university) along with International Women’s Day. This date is also when our WIE Affinity Group completes 1 year anniversary.
It consists of an event organized directly by the community, in which students with an interest in professional growth will have the opportunity to share experiences and learn even more through mini-course, lectures, demonstrations and debates about the subject.

The event will bring together teachers and engineers on the morning to discuss and illustrate the differences, challenges, and opportunities for women in university and business to inspire, encourage, engage, and empower students and professionals. To conclude the event, in the afternoon we will offer *mini courses of MATLAB and Preparation of Printed Circuit Boards.*

We estimate about 150 students throughout the event.

We would like to add to this event the opportunity for UFPB students and all guests to have health guidance through a nurse. Therefore, we will have an ambulance available in the University parking lot so that students can gauge the pressure and learn more about general health care.
