IEEE Women in Engineering Bangladesh Section, in collaboration with WePOWER Bangladesh National Chapter and partnered with IEEE Bangladesh Section, Department of EEE, BUET and IEEE Industrial Applications Society Bangladesh Chapter, scheduled to be held on March 8, 2025, at host BUET from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
This year’s International Women’s Day 2025 theme, Theme: #AccelerateAction, "2025: The Year to Act for ALL Women and Girls," highlights the urgency of taking bold action to break down systemic barriers, empower women across all sectors, and create inclusive opportunities for the next generation. The event will particularly focus on gender stereotypes, employment challenges, and career barriers faced by female graduates in the energy and power sectors.
We are honored to have distinguished guests, including the Secretary of the Power Division, Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources as the chief guest, the World Bank’s Acting Country Director as a special guest, and other esteemed leaders from the energy and development sectors.

• Youth voices session featuring university students' perspectives: Future young Professionals
• Introduction to the WePOWER Ambassadorship Program
• Networking and iftar box distribution
