The ΙEEE Women in Engineering Greece Section AG, the Gender Equality Office of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and the RESET European Project, with the participation of the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering, NTUA, are pleased to invite you to a two-day event on Thursday, November 21, and Friday, November 22, 2024, in honor of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The event aims to:
– Raise awareness about gender-based violence, discrimination, sexism, and other harassing behaviors.
– Offer workshops to:
– Inform and train participants on handling various forms of harassment and sexist behaviors.
– Increase awareness on how each of us can contribute to the establishment of an equal and inclusive work environment.
Day 1 (November 21, 2024) will feature a presentation and a training workshop focused on gender discrimination, sexism, and other forms of violence. These activities will take place in parallel in Athens (Multimedia Room, NTUA Library) and Thessaloniki (Amphitheatre I, KEDEA – AUTh).
Day 2 (November 22, 2024) will bring together the ECE School and the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering for a joint workshop led by the organization (https://womenontop.gr/en/), that is dedicated to the economic and professional empowerment of women and the advancement of gender equality and inclusion in the workplace.
