Tech Talk Topic: Career Pathways for Engineering Professionals: Evolution of the Engineer in the Corporate World

Loading Events

Many of us get an engineering degree thinking we know what we want to do when we “grow up.” Those of us who choose to enter the corporate world may start in the engineering or R&D department but end up in other parts of the company. When I started my career, I didn’t know why anyone would want to work in other departments. However, over time, I found out that my engineering skills came in handy in different roles and industries. In this talk, we’ll discuss career pathways for engineering professionals leveraging my personal experience of 20+ years as well as the experience of many colleagues in different-sized companies, industries, and jobs.
