Komal is the Chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) AG Islamabad Section, where she leads initiatives to promote diversity, inclusion, and the advancement of women in the fields of engineering and technology. With a strong passion for empowering women in STEM, she has successfully organized numerous workshops, conferences, and mentorship programs that bridge the gap between academia and industry.
In addition to her leadership role at IEEE WIE, Komal is a seasoned cybersecurity consultant. She works closely with organizations to develop robust cybersecurity strategies, assess potential risks, and implement cutting-edge solutions to protect sensitive information in an increasingly digital world.
As an academician, she also teaches and mentors the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. Her areas of expertise include digital forensics, operating system security, and ethical hacking, where she brings real-world industry experience into the classroom to provide practical insights to her students.
Komal has done her MS in Information Security, BS Telecom Engineering, CHFI, CEH, CASE and numerous other international certifications in cyber security and is committed to both professional excellence and advancing women in technology.
