This Oct 4th — celebrating 40 years of innovation and regional engagement by EWU Computer Science — IEEE Spokane’s EWU CS 4Oth Anniversary Event will be a festive “Event-Within-an-Event,” from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, at the EWU Catalyst. Attendees can visit with Spokane IEEE at its EWU CS 40th Meet-and-Greet Table, while enjoying a major celebratory event tri-sponsored by the EWU Foundation, the EWU CS and Cyber Security Professional Board, and IEEE Spokane.
The CS 40th Anniversary Event will be twofold —
>> FIRST: An upbeat party in honor of the many accomplishments of the EWU CS program over the decades — with ample and festive food and beverage offerings and lots of fun decorations. The CS 40th will also feature live guitar music by gifted musician Jonathan Nicholson. Featured guests will include EWU President Dr. Shari McMahan and Guest of Honor Dr. Stu Steiner, founder of the now-celebrated EWU Cyber Security Program.
>> PLUS: A major technology networking event, focused on those that are part of the extensive computer and electronics sector in the region. The event will be highlighted by a short program featuring EWU President McMahan explaining and expanding on EWUs very recent rebranding as: “The Region’s Polytechnic.” A broad range of tech companies — including some of today’s large worldwide powers, to mid-size, to rising local startups — will be represented at this exciting event, starting midafternoon Friday, Oct 4.
>> PARKING: Free parking for attendees provided in the main Catalyst lot
