In this interactive career‑focused session, we’ll examine how engineers navigated major technological disruption during the rise of simulation tools in the 80s and 90s—and what those lessons can teach us today. Through discussion and real‑world examples, participants will identify transferable skills, career strategies, and practical steps to confidently position themselves for growth in the age of AI.

Presenter’s Bio: Chad Kidder received his BS and MS in electrical engineering from Texas A&M. He is a licensed professional engineer in Texas. Since his graduation, he has worked for large and small businesses, a university, and consulted. His work has been primarily in microwaves, radars, phased arrays, and embedded systems. He currently works at Keysight Technologies as the Americas and Europe EDA Services Manager. Chad is an active volunteer in IEEE, serving as the IEEE USA Conference Committee Chair, as the Region 6 (Western USA) Chapter Coordinator for the Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S), and as Chair of his local MTT-S Chapter.

Chad is married to the wonderful Melissa Kidder. They are the parents of four wonderful children. He has served on community boards, founded a neighborhood association, and founded a Boy Scout troop. Chad is passionate about helping others have the tools and knowledge to make the world a better place.
