Dr. Anne Costolanski is the 2022 Treasurer of the IEEE Women in Engineering Committee. She has been involved with IEEE WIE efforts since 2016, serving as Secretary, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Chair of the Atlanta WIE affinity group. She has participated in numerous IEEE activities at the local and regional level and has mentored several high school girls through STEM-focused programs.
After over a decade in accounting and finance and serving as a budget analyst for local government and an accounting manager for a large newspaper company, Anne decided that her love for mathematics was stronger than her interest in finance. She returned to graduate school in applied mathematics and received her PhD in 2013. She currently works at Georgia Tech Research Institute as a senior research scientist, focusing on modeling and simulation of radar systems.
