IEEE WIE STAR Program by IEEE Student Branch of IIT Jodhpur (India)

The IEEE Student Branch of IIT Jodhpur and its WIE Affinity Group conducted the Student-Teacher and Researcher (STAR) Preuniversity Outreach Programme on January 27 and February 17, 2018, at Jalori Gate Government Girls’ Senior Secondary School and Government Secondary School, Lordi Panditji Village, Jodhpur, respectively. The events were attended by more than 220 students from grades VIII – XII, and their science teachers. The mission of the STAR program is to improve the perception of the field of engineering, continue to attract more girls to the pursue an engineering career, as well as promote to all students the endless possibilities that can result from considering engineering as a possible career option. The team, led by Branch Counselor, Dr. Rajlaxmi Chouhan, comprised Megha Singh, Bhuvnesh Rathore, Hiteshi Jain, Deepak Dhillon, Manju Kumari, Ravi Sharma, Sumitra Godara, Arpita Jaitawat, Dipti Trivedi, and Venugopal Achhe. WRO-Tunisia’2017 is a robotics competition

WRO-Tunisia’2017 is a robotics competition was organized on 23th September 2017 in the National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS). WRO-Tunisia’2017 aims to qualify Tunisian teams to participate in World Olympiad Robot (WRO) in its 14th edition which take place in San José (Costa Rica).
It aims to promote the development of robotics in Tunisia through bringing together primary and secondary and university students as well as robotics experts to exchange ideas and share problem solving strategies pertaining to robotics. Read full report
The Tunisian Students and Young Professionals Congress (TSYP

The Tunisian Students and Young Professionals Congress (TSYP) is the IEEE Tunisia section’s Annual Meeting where more than 500 engineering students from several Tunisian public and private universities, as well as young professionals, gather together to learn further details about the IEEE technical, professional, and education benefits; and to discuss the future engineering challenges worldwide and in Tunisia. Entrepreneurship weekend for teens

IEEE WIE NEDUET AG kicked off this tenure by joining hands with IEEE SB NEDUET to host Teen Entrepreneurship Weekend, a highly informative and interactive session on the importance and necessity of entrepreneurship. The workshop was held in the Main Auditorium on the 20th of January, 2018.
The audience ranged from 13-year-old school going children to 18-year-old college students. The host for the day was Rukaiya Farooq, Head of Registrations. The session commenced at 11.30 hrs with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Waleed Irfan. Read full report

IEEE NED XPLORE 2018
On 3rd January 2018, IEEE Xplore 2018 was organized by all the IEEE Student Chapters and Affinity Groups of NED University. The event took place in the Audio Visual Hall of Petroleum Engineering Department. The purpose of the event was to illustrate the basic science around IEEE. The event commenced with a welcome note delivered by the branch counselor of NED University Dr. Khurram. Read full report
